At Clear View Softwashing, we have extensive experience in the exterior cleaning industry, and we know which method to use for which application. We reserve traditional pressure washing for use on hard, durable surfaces such as concrete and use soft washing for just about everything else.

Advantages of Soft Washing

In this article, we’ll go over some of the advantages of soft washing, so you get a better idea of why we prefer it in most cases.

  • Gentle Water Pressure – One of the key differences between soft washing and pressure washing is the level of water pressure employed in each. Pressure washing uses pressure levels of 1,500+ PSI, which is strong enough to damage many softer materials such as roof shingles and siding. Soft washing, on the other hand, caps out at just 60 PSI, which makes it gentler and much safer to use on a wide variety of surfaces.
  • Water Conservation – Another advantage of soft washing over pressure washing is the amount of water it consumes. Soft washing uses much less water than pressure washing, which makes it an eco-friendlier choice. In addition, soft washing uses biodegradable cleaning agents to loosen dirt and grime, making them easier to remove.
  • Stain Removal – A third advantage of soft washing is the way it is specifically designed to eliminate stain- and damage-causing organisms such as mold, mildew, algae, and bacteria. We apply a blend of biodegradable cleaning agents to your surfaces to kill these organisms and provide long-term protection against them. This in turn gets your surfaces cleaner than pressure washing can, and it prevents stains from returning for many weeks or even months after the initial treatment.
